This thesis incorporates food theory and post-colonial perspectives to investigate the cultural, literary, and spiritual significance of food in Reservation Blues by Sherman Alexie, Gardens in the Dunes by Leslie Marmon Silko, and The Heartsong of Charging Elk by James Welch.
