Abstract
This survey covers the research that has been conducted on the leaf and the wood oils of Juniperus mexicana and Juniperus virginiana under the direction of Dr. Carroll L. Key of the chemistry department of The Southwest Texas State Teachers College, San Marcos, Texas. Included in this survey are the discoveries of new chemical components of the oils and a brief resume of the reactions used to prove the presence of these components, along with the miscellaneous reactions that have been carried out by the investigators.
