Abstract
Organizations have begun to examine the pros and cons of implementing Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology into the supply chain. RFID systems have the potential to improve supply chain coordination; however, many firms have
experienced significant barriers when incorporating RFID technology into the supply chain. Through research and analysis of firms that have implemented an RFID system,
this research work proposes a long-run strategy to integrate RFID into the supply chain. The aforementioned strategic roadmap is recommended because it reduces the likelihood
of encountering barriers to RFID adoption and implementation; which in turn, presents the best opportunity for successful RFID integration into the supply chain.
