dc.description.abstract | This study investigates the ways that undergraduate students use examples in their transition-to-proof course, and the influence that the instructor had on the students’ decisions to use examples. Observations and interviews were conducted with the instructor and a sample of students to investigate the connections between the teaching and learning of examples in this proof writing course. | |
