dc.description.abstract | I conducted research at the Morgan Library in New York City, looking at international financing of Japanese and Mexican development projects. I conducted research at the rare books room of Columbia University where I investigated the same topic by looking at the papers of Frank Vanderlip, president of National City Bank. I also conducted research at the National Archives outside of Washington D.C., where I looked at the records of the Department of State, especially trade and consular reports from Japan. | |
