dc.description.abstract | Foster care group homes are often looked upon as a negative option for children in the foster care system. This thesis will use three types of knowledge: factual, theoretical, and practice, to gain an understanding of foster care group homes through the perspectives of social work professionals. Information will be gathered through a literature review as well as through qualitative interviews. The purpose of this thesis is to gain further knowledge on a subject of critical importance to the profession of social work and to the field of child welfare. | |
