Abstract

Emerging technologies in emergency response highlight the significant risks to firefighters and responders during missions. Traditional firefighting relies on human insight and experience and is susceptible to mistakes in high-stress situations. Innovations like autonomous systems, IoT, and machine learning offer improvements in emergency management. However, their practical application must catch up in performing its capabilities and community acceptance of its implementation. This project aims to bridge this gap by deploying autonomous units that collect data and apply machine learning to improve urban firefighting.
