dc.description.abstract | The task of responsible dog ownership, for renters, can be a difficult one. This is as true for the borzoi as it is for any other breed, and in some cases, more so. The challenges range from remaining compliant with all state and local laws and contractual obligations, maintaining the physical health of the dog, and ensuring proper satisfaction of the dog’s mental and emotional needs. While it is by no means impossible to overcome these challenges, prospective borzoi owners, who live in apartments, must be conscious of them, to ensure they do not take on responsibilities they cannot fulfill, culminating in the surrender, abandonment, or death of the dog. | |
