This presentation for the Swedish National Defense College examines the role the journal Armed Forces & Society plays in developing civil-military relations literature. It examines the works of Samuel Huntington and Morris Janowitz, founders of the field of Civil Military Relations. It also places the topics of civil military relations within the working groups of the European Group on Military and Society. The final section discusses tips for publishing in Armed Forces & Society.
