dc.description.abstract | The Indwelling God is a script for a potential video game. There are three protagonists – Equii, Vlanci, and Rekin - who attempt to overthrow the antagonist, Afanasi, at different periods. As the story progresses, each protagonist will help the game-player learn more about the world and develop a bitter hatred towards the antagonist. Philosophical themes will include ideas of eternal recurrence, duty versus familial ties, the dualistic nature of man, and the difference between duty and opportunity. There are several scenes within each chapter that span lengths of time which are meant to allow the player to play the game; whereas, the scenes themselves are checkpoints that the story and the player must progress through. | |
