Spiritual health and life satisfaction are important constructs in a holistic understanding of individuals. Mental health professionals often overlook spiritual development due to lack of research, training, and knowledge on the subject (Kiessling, 2010). The current study sought to examine differences in level of spirituality from freshman year forward as well as relationships between spiritual development and global life satisfaction. No significance was found in level of spiritual development and year in college; however, results indicated students did question religious beliefs as they progressed through college. Spiritual development and global life satisfaction were found to be moderately correlated. Results from the current study suggest a need for mental health practitioners to address spirituality in counseling with the traditional college students.en_US
