dc.description.abstract | The relationships between Parent-Child Communication, Narcissism, and Safe Sexual Behaviors were investigated using three different questionnaires. The goal was to determine whether Narcissism or Parent-Child Communication may play a role in predicting Safe Sexual Behaviors. All participants were students who were enrolled in psychology courses at Texas State University. Regression analyses revealed that Narcissism significantly predicted Safe Sexual Behaviors, whereas Parent-Child Communication was not a significant predictor. Moreover, the former finding was true only for male participants and not female participants. Culture seemed to have no real mediating role. | |
