| dc.description.abstract | Over the past 30 years, a great deal of research has been undertaken to enhance understanding of individual and organizational characteristics associated with entrepreneurship in general and women entrepreneurs in particular. As the scholarly study of female entrepreneurs and their businesses increases, a clearer understanding of women entrepreneurs and their businesses has begun to emerge. This paper contributes to the entrepreneurship literature by organizing the research stream about female entrepreneurs into several key areas, taking a critical and timely look at the key issues, and providing recommendations for addressing gaps in the literature. | |
