dc.description.abstractThis thesis is composed of two segments: creative and academic. The creative core of the thesis is a two act play titled The Digger, which is supported by an academic meditation on the creation and development of the text. The academic segment will include three chapters wherein I detail the process of writing the play from conception to post-production. Chapter four will be the text of the play followed by a conclusion and an appendix of production photos and other production-related documents.
