dc.description.abstractThe African American Experience:Both Past and Present, is one African American's (Walter Musgrove) account of his experience as a minority here at Texas State University. This thesis includes a brief overview of the desegregation of higher education in Texas as well as at Texas State University. Musgrove offers a unique perspective as not only as a Texas State football player, but also as a member of the Mitte Honors Program. The thesis covers issues such as the classroom environment to life in a college town.
