dc.description.abstract | Jane Addams (1860- 1935) is noted for her leadership in the social settlement movement and her peace activism. Addams drew upon lessons from Christ and the early Christians to develop her ideas of peace. This article examines Addams feminist notion of an active, positive peace (peace weaving) through the lenses of key bible verses with themes including, love your neighbor, love your enemy, care for children and forgive. | |
